Having a weepy moment right now Nan - I'm going to donate some money on my birthday after completing a little charity challenge, and it got me thinking about you! You always remembered every birthday of everyone, even people you barely knew. This will be the first birthday of mine where I get a card just from Grandad and not you, and I'm guessing it'll be hard to read.
Grandad came and saw my new flat yesterday, and he met Matt for the first time! They got on really well, and Matt described Grandad as a 'geezer', which I'm sure he'll love :) I would have loved for you to see the flat and I would have loved for Matt to have met you too. He would have loved how gentle and kind you were and how you always wanted people to be welcome.
We miss you very much, especially Grandad. Keep an eye on him!! All our love <3 x

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
